Fee Structure

The MIH ecosystem implements a fee structure optimized for cryptocurrency-based payments. Depending on the payment method, users are subject to different types of fees.
For standard card payments using an MIH-branded card or an MIH-linked payment gateway, the base fees of traditional networks such as Visa or MasterCard apply. In these cases, merchants typically pay transaction fees in the range of 2% to 5% of the transaction amount.
In contrast, $MIH payments processed via blockchain-based PG services eliminate many of the intermediary payment processing fees. This allows for significantly lower service fees through direct on-chain settlement.
When a merchant accepts $MIH directly from a customer, a base fee of 0.5% is applied. If the merchant wishes to receive the payment in a stablecoin, an additional 0.5% conversion fee is charged.
MIH also operates a VIP tier system, where the user's fee rate is determined based on their $MIH holdings and recent usage activity. There are seven VIP levels, with fee discounts applied from VIP 3 and above. For instance, a VIP 3 user pays only 0.3% on card payments, while the highest tier, VIP 7, benefits from a fee as low as 0.1%.
